Service Level Agreement
Starting from just:
Service Level Agreement
The SLA model is one that we’ve been using for over a decade with the schools that we support.
We understand that schools are exceptionally busy places and therefore finding the time to showcase all of the wonderful things that are happening within can be a big ask!
We believe that it’s useful for both parties to know that there is dedicated time to ensure effective communication between your school staff and pupils, the public and your local community in a timely manner.
Put simply, our agreements allow creative services to be bookmarked throughout the academic year to enhance your physical learning environment, share your vision and celebrate your achievements online.
No matter the size of your school or MAT, we’re sure that we can make your schools vision a reality.

What does the SLA cover?
Some of the creative services that are included in any level of service level agreement.

How many days?
Without knowing your school, this question can be a tough one to answer.
There are many variables in this, such as the size of your school or MAT, what you want to achieve and of course your school budget.
If you would like to arrange a meeting to discuss this further, please get in touch!
Every school is unique and each has different priorities for their pupils and staff.
We currently have agreements ranging from 20 days per academic year, through to 150 days, which includes non-term time work for both local authority maintained schools and multi-academy trusts where we work across all of their schools.
You choose how many days are required, the agreements with educreate start from 20 days, which is 1 day per fortnight. The day rate will decrease depending on the agreed upon quantity of days and working terms.
Should there be occasions in which work needs to be completed under a stricter time limit, such as preparing printed materials and collating information digitally for an inspection, we are usually able to accommodate this by taking time in advance from the remainder of the agreement days.
Our SLA’s are flexible to suit the schools or multi-academy trusts involved, but here are some examples of existing agreements.
This agreement is essentially a day per fortnight during term time, however sometimes the days are used up ahead of time in order to hit specific deadlines.
We have an online requisition form and WhatsApp group for any design work that comes directly to educreate from the Senior Leadership Team. The form has a deadline field, so that we are able to prioritise the relevant jobs accordingly.
With this agreement being at the minimum 20x day threshold, there are occasions in which additional days are ‘bolted on’ at the rate as described in the SLA.
This is the first year of working with us, however, next September they are looking at increasing their SLA days to promote their new Nursery.
The majority of the work is undertaken at our studio, with visits to the school as required, such as to take photographs or install artwork.
This agreement is essentially a day per week during term time, plus a few extra days. This SLA is an example of us fitting an agreement to a budget that the school had available to spend.

With this school we run several ‘big’ projects that are worked on throughout the year in the background and we also visit the school at least once a half term to take new photographs for social media campaigns and printed marketing items.
The majority of the work is undertaken at our studio, with visits to the school as required, such as to take photographs or install artwork.
This agreement roughly equates to a day per half term with each of the 10x academies in the Trust, however the 60 days are pooled and are allocated at the discretion of the Trust.
Sometimes the Trust Central Team need documents and displays designed for promotional or presentation purposes so they occasionally take some days from the pool. In addition a new school to the Trust may be given a greater allocation of days in order to get them to the same visual level as the existing schools.
We have an online requisition form for any design work that comes directly to educreate and the MAT which is then ordered, prioritised and the work is then delivered in a timely manner.
The majority of the work is undertaken at our studio, with visits to the school as required, such as to take photographs or install artwork.
This agreement is one of the larger ones and includes a lot of non-term time work in order to deliver the level of support required.
Anything that is visible in the school is designed and taken care of by us to maintain the schools identity across the entire provision.
This includes building, hosting and managing their website and social media, all signage, teaching resources and display panels around the school amongst other things.
We visit the school at least once a week to take new photographs for social media campaigns, printed marketing items and to check in with the Senior Leadership Team and plan for the week ahead.

What We Pay, You Pay.
In a effort to increase value for money within an SLA, we offer printing at cost.
With an SLA, ALL printing is provided at cost.
What we pay, you pay, nothing extra.
We think it’s important that all printed materials have no profit margins added to them. If a leaflet print run costs £20, some A1 wall panels £15 or a roller banner £40, thats what it costs.
We will set you up with your own online account where you can reorder items at your discretion and also collect points on every order, to use against print jobs in the future.
Of course, if you have a decent printer at you school (or want to invest in one) then you may wish to print some things in house.

If an SLA with educreate is something that you would be interested in, please get in touch and we can discuss how we can work together.
